Tuesday, November 11, 2020

I. Call to order

a)   Hunter Miller called to order the executive committee meeting of the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Lafayette at 6:07 pm on Tuesday, November 11, 2020 via Zoom.

II. Roll call

a)   The following persons were present: Emily Carline, Hunter Miller, Bruce Snow, Chris Menard, Scott Ferguson, Judi Hamilton.

III. Treasurer’s report, Novem er 2020

a)   Checking: $9573.80

b)   Hunter Miller moved to approve this Treasurer’s report, seconded by Emily Carline. The motion carried

IV. New business

a)   Series of 3 meetings led by Diane Kirksey pertaining to election outcomes: Delighted, Disillusioned, Dismayed

i)       The purpose of these meetings is to listen and let them know they’re being heard. No solutions, just open lines of communication.

ii)      8 people in attendance on Thursday’s group (Delighted)

iii)    The organization behind these events is called Braver Angels – With Malice for None

b)   Sunday, November 9th In-Person Service

i)       Rain and traffic noise were an issue

ii)      We need to set up another phone so online viewers can see the congregation on screen

c)   Possible Service at Linda’s house on November 22nd (before Thanksgiving]

i)       Is there a safe way to serve food? Bring your own, or serve packaged food.

ii)      Must be held outside

d)   Christmas/Holiday Event

i)       Concerns are: is there enough space to spread out enough?

ii)      Solstice at Linda’s house every year— we could stream this on Zoom too if her WiFi allows

e)   Upcoming service on November 15th

i)       Alex will be giving his presentation on UU from school

ii)      Service will be on Zoom again (the presentation is a PowerPoint)

V. Adjournment

a)   Hunter Miller adjourned the meeting at 6:43 pm.
